Elvis descends on Lindhorst Wines |
| 07 April 2009 by Lindhorst Wines |
A private event was held at Lindhorst Wines in Paarl earlier last month, hosting a contingent of 80+ Swedish Restaurateurs touring the Cape. Lars Morgan (of Morgans Wine Shop in the Tyger Valley Mall) was the organiser of the event, along with Gus Dale from Lindhorst Wines.
A total of 14 wineries were invited to showcase a selection of their wines at an open air tasting, which was followed by dinner and entertainment. The group of Swedes were greeted by a school choir from Kayalitsha who kicked of the song and dance. Once the serious business of tasting of over 50 wines was concluded, an Elvis Presley impersonator and his 11 piece band were definitely the highlight of the evening and soon had the Swedes shaking at the knees. The main act was followed by a magic show and a hypnotist, and the whole evening was lit up by the full-moon.
